Speaker Proposal Form

KHCA/KCAL represents more than 280 long term care facilities, providing care and services to more than 20,000 convalescent and chronically ill Kansans. The convention draws approximately 350 attendees, the majority of which are Administrators, AL Operators, Nurses, Social Workers and Direct Care Staff. Our audience is experienced and knowledgeable and expects the most current information and highest quality training available. The audience expects to leave KHCA/KCAL Education events with immediately implementable information and ideas.

Our Education committee reviews proposals that meet the following:

  • Unique and timely value of content
  • Relevance to the needs of key constituencies
  • Overall quality, originality, and timeliness
  • Use of instructional methods and organization
  • Practical, results-oriented applications

KHCA/KCAL has earned a reputation for providing high quality educational programs. We select speakers who share their expertise for the overall benefit of the long term care profession.  KHCA/KCAL has limited funds to pay per diem, honoraria, or expenses. The convention registration fee is waived for session speakers.

KHCA/KCAL accepts proposals for education events all year.  Submissions for the Fall Annual Convention should be submitted by March 1.
