Course Description:
This session provides an overview of mental health conditions commonly encountered in nursing facilities (NF) and outlines strategies for successful care planning to enhance resident well-being. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of prevalent mental health issues among NF residents, including depression, anxiety, dementia, and other cognitive disorders. The course emphasizes the importance of a holistic and individualized approach to care planning, ensuring that mental health needs are met alongside physical health requirements.
