Course Description:
Medication errors, unavailable medications, and ineffective monitoring for adverse effects of medications can lead to significant negative resident outcomes, survey deficiencies and increase the risk of LTC litigation. This seventh session in the Reducing Litigation Risk series will review the regulatory requirements and standards of care for effective medication management. Areas of significant risk for medication errors will be discussed, along with best practices for preventing medication errors and for the monitoring of adverse effects.
