This lunch and learn was created specifically with the Operators of our Kansas State Licensed Only facilities in mind. This 1-day lunch and learn will dive into topics that we frequently receive questions on for our Assisted Living, Home Plus and Residential Health Care Providers. Class size is limited to 40 and will include sharing and perspectives from all setting types.

9:45-11:00 FCS and NSA Deep Dive (1.5 ADM) Joan Hudson
This session will dive into the FCS and NSA and the common gray areas that are seen in our settings. Special time will be devoted to specific conversations around bedrails and assistive devices in the state licensed only setting.

11:15-12:30 Medication Management in Assisted Living (1.5 RC) Denise Hoback and Jill Manis
This session on Medication Management is specifically for care providers working in state-licensed only communities such as Assisted Living and Home Plus. We will cover what the Operator needs to know about safe, effective, and accurate medication practices. We’ll also cover commonly written tags seen in our Kansas State Licensed Only Communities and discuss how to avoid getting these tags.

1:00 – 2:15 The Perfect Recipe: Dining Excellence with Nutritious, Cost-Effective, and Memorable Meals (1.5 RC) – Stacy Lofton
Discover how to craft dining programs that strike the perfect balance between nutrition, cost efficiency, and resident satisfaction. In this session, we’ll share actionable strategies for optimizing procurement, reduce waste, and maintain the highest standards for fresh, high-quality meals. Plus, explore creative approaches to turn every meal into a delightful experience that residents will remember.

2:30-3:20 HCBS in Assisted Living (1.5 RC) Linda MowBray
From getting started to knowing how to make it work for you. This session will review the ins and outs of becoming an HCBS provider. There will be time for facilitated discussions among attendees about HCBS experiences and perspectives.
