This program will guide participants through key strategies for improving communication, fostering positive interactions, and approaching problem-solving with curiosity and empathy.
Navigating Communication Changes: Explore how communication evolves as dementia progresses and learn practical ways to adapt your own communication skills and approach to better connect at every stage.
Damaging vs. Positive Social Interactions: Differentiate between social interactions that can harm relationships and imped effective communication from those that uphold dignity and foster connection.
Be Wildly Curious in Problem Solving: Understand behavioral response as a form of communication and apply a five-step framework to uncover root causes and create effective interventions.
Enjoy a networking lunch with guided conversation prompts to reflect on the morningâs sessions and share insights with peers.
Participants will leave with practical tools and renewed confidence for building meaningful connections and addressing challenges in dementia care.
