Session Title: Survey Success! Avoiding Top Citations. Post Survey Activities: Developing Effective Plan of Correction & IDR

Course Description:

This session will review strategies for writing an effective plan of correction and discuss the informal dispute resolution (IDR) process, with strategies for developing an effective IDR and/or IIDR submission.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the five core elements required by CMS for an acceptable plan of correction
  2. Become familiar with the time frame requirements for submission of an acceptable plan of correction
  3. Demonstrate the ability to write an acceptable plan of correction
  4. Discuss what documentation is needed for a successful IDR
  5. Identify the steps in the IDR process

Nurses:  The Kansas Healthcare Association is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.  This offering is approved for 1.0 contact hour applicable for RN and LPN relicensure (KSBN LT0030-0338)

Administrators: This course is approved for 1.0 continuing education credit hours for adult care home administrators by the Kansas Department Aging and Disability Services.  KDADS Health Occupations Credentialing sponsorship number LTS-A0001.
