Linda MowBray
President/CEO
Linda MowBray has served KHCA/KCAL since October 2001, bringing 14 years of prior experience as a Social Services Director in a skilled nursing center. She was promoted to lead the Kansas Center for Assisted Living in 2013 and serves as President/CEO since 2020. In this role, Linda works closely with licensed-only homes across Kansas on regulatory matters, compliance, reimbursement, and key industry initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in Topeka.
Polly Berkley
VP of Operations and Education
Polly Berkley joined KHCA/KCAL in January 2014, bringing 13 years of experience in corporate events. As Vice President of Operations and Education, she leads the planning and delivery of educational programs and oversees key operational initiatives that support members across Kansas. Polly holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Business from Emporia State University and is a Registered Adult Care Home Operator. She also serves on the Nurse Advisory Board for Rasmussen University and is an active member of the Kansas Dementia Partnership.
Jennafer Sumner
Director of Membership
Jennafer has been a key member of the KHCA/KCAL team since July 2013, bringing a unique blend of healthcare knowledge, business experience, and strategic communication. After starting in finance, she transitioned to Director of Membership in 2015, where she leads membership growth, engagement, and retention. Jennafer oversees member communications, educational promotion, exhibitor event coordination, and sponsorship engagement, ensuring members stay informed, connected, and supported. As a Registered Adult Care Home Operator, she brings valuable industry perspective to her work and plays an essential role in advancing the association’s mission.
Kristin Plantz
Director of Finances
Kristin Plantz joined KHCA/KCAL in February 2015, bringing more than eight years of accounting experience. As Director of Finances, she oversees the association’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and long term stability. Kristin holds a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University and is a Registered Adult Care Home Operator, adding valuable industry perspective to her role.
Teresa Keating
Special Programs Coordinator
Teresa Keating joined KHCA/KCAL in April 2021, bringing more than 20 years of association experience, including eight years in health care. As Special Programs Coordinator, she supports key initiatives that enhance member services and program delivery. Teresa became a Registered Adult Care Home Operator in November 2021, adding valuable industry insight to her work on behalf of members and the association.
