The Changed Role of Social Services in LTC
The role of the Social Service staff is one of the most important roles provided to long term care elders and residents. After all, what is more important than “quality of life”. It is a basic human right, and quality of life continues to be the primary goal for the lives of all residents and elders in senior settings. This presentation will discuss the ever-changing and ever-important role of social service staff in long term care settings, along with the “Quality of Life” regulations. The presentation will provide instruction for new social service staff members, and a reminder for current social service staff members.
