Course Description:
This session of the Restorative Nursing Series will focus on meeting restorative requirements and implementing effective processes for assessment and program transitions. The restorative levels of care and resident transitions within the levels are discussed. Attendees will gain insight into selection of appropriate RNP candidates. Instruction will include case study review and referral documentation examples for each type of restorative program. Special considerations for residents with a history of COVID-19 + status will be reviewed. Common barriers to maintaining a successful restorative program are identified with suggested solutions.
Learning Objectives
- Review process considerations for developing/ implementing RNPs, and/or improving the effectiveness of an existing RNP
- Provide an overview of restorative levels of care and selection process for appropriate RNP candidates
- Review appropriate referral documentation for the types of programs
- Identify barriers and possible solutions for maintaining a successful program
