Course Description:
Prompt identification and management of resident changes in condition is critical to optimal outcomes. In this sixth session in the Reducing Litigation Risk series, we’ll delve into key issues around changes in conditions in post-acute care settings. Topics of discussion will include regulatory requirements, common risk areas and standards of care for notification of a resident change in condition. Tips will be shared for the critical elements of identification, assessment, notification and documentation of a change in resident condition with an emphasis on strategies for implementing effective safeguards.
